1. Introduction
Welcome to Umicrochet. By accessing our website and placing an order (retail, wholesale, or custom sample), you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before making a payment.
2. The Nature of Handmade Products
Umicrochet specializes in 100% handmade crochet products. Unlike mass-produced machine goods, every stitch is crafted by hand. By purchasing from us, you acknowledge that:
- Unique Variations: No two items are identical. Slight variations in tension, size, and shape are inherent to the craft.
- Wholesale Consistency: In bulk orders, individual differences between pieces in the same batch are normal and expected.
3. Custom Designs and AI/Photo Replication
When ordering custom products based on reference photos, AI-generated images, or design drawings provided by the customer:
- Tolerance for Deviation: It is technically impossible to achieve a 100% replication of a digital image or photograph using manual crochet techniques.
- Acceptable Range: A deviation range of 1% to 20% regarding detail, color shading, and structural proportion is considered acceptable.
- Agreement: If you require absolute precision (100% similarity), please do not place an order. Placing an order constitutes your acceptance of these potential aesthetic differences.
4. Sample Development and Approval
- Process: Once a sample is created, we will provide high-resolution photos for your approval.
- Confirmation: Once you approve the photos, the sample will be shipped.
- Revisions: If you are unsatisfied with the photo results:
- Option A: Pay a second sample fee for a remake.
- Option B: Proceed to shipping as-is.
- Option C: Request modifications to be implemented directly in the bulk production phase (skipping a second sample).
- Cost of Development: Development fees cover the intangible costs of labor, pattern design, and material sourcing. These are service-based costs and are non-refundable once work begins.
5. Order Cancellation Policy
- 0-12 Hours: Orders cancelled within 12 hours of payment are eligible for a full refund, provided no material procurement has occurred.
- After 12 Hours: Orders are strictly non-refundable. By this time, we have already purchased materials and allocated labor hours.
6. Limitation of Liability
Umicrochet is not liable for misunderstandings regarding the limitations of handmade craftsmanship. We urge all clients to review our Refund Policy prior to payment.
